About Coin Curator
Coin Curator is an independent research guide for buying graded U.S. coins. It helps you identify the coin, check the slab and photos, see what certified examples have actually sold for, and compare where to buy before you spend.
Who runs it
Coin Curator is built and run by Doug Richman, an independent developer. It is an educational research guide, not a grading service, dealer, appraiser or investment adviser, and it is not sponsored by any grading service, marketplace or the U.S. Mint.
What the data is and where it comes from
The catalog covers collectible U.S. series such as Morgan and Peace dollars, Walking Liberty halves and pre-1933 gold, organized by date and mint. Mintages and rarity context come from published references such as PCGS CoinFacts and the NGC Census.
Sold prices appear on key and semi-key date pages only. They come from eBay completed sales, filtered to coins certified by PCGS, NGC or ANACS and grouped by grade. Each figure is a dated record of what specific coins sold for, not a price guide, appraisal or forecast.
The methodology page explains the sources, the filtering rules and how market figures are handled. Errors are fixed through the corrections process.
How the site is paid for
As an Amazon Associate, Coin Curator earns from qualifying purchases. Other affiliate links may also earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate status does not determine which coins, dealers or auction houses we discuss. The affiliate disclosure has the details.
